Browser Compatibility

The primary program is designed to work with PC's using Internet Explorer Version 5.0 or higher.

We DO write our scripts to be compatible with Netscape, Firefox, and the Macintosh browsers (Safari, IE, Netscape), but due to differences in these browsers, there are some features in the PC version that will not be available and the screen display will differ slightly from the screen shots on this website. Therefore, we offer a Mac version which is recommended for people who are not using a PC with the Internet Explorer browser.

Both versions, however, use the same database, so an organization with both PC and Mac users can easily use this program.

Database Requirements

This script contains a Microsoft Access 2000 Database that uses a DSN-LESS connection. This database is used by both the PC and the Mac versions.

We recommend that OakStand host your Reservation system, and you would simply link to it from your web site, Intranet, or directly via your browser.

It has NOT been tested on a UNIX server with ChiliSoft ASP, but it may work with the exception of the email capability. There are no server side components to install. 	Stand-Alone Program: Hosting on your server Our Reservation System is also available as a stand-alone program, which you may purchase and install on your own server. With this option, you will be entitled to minor "point" upgrades in the software at no cost, but major "version" upgrades will require an additional payment. Support via email is provided at no cost. Alternatively, we can install and customize the software for you on your own server for an additional charge.
